Experience - Visiting Tasman Lake was definitely high on my bucket list for New Zealand and I certainly wasn’t disappointed. After about a 20 minute walk in the dark we arrived at the top of a hill with a great view, but to get this viewpoint I had to climb down over some rather large and uneven rocks to get to the edge of the lake. The colour was just starting to pop over the glacier in front of us and then followed a magical experience where the colour just became richer and richer, and with the icebergs so close I could touch them! I hope the magnificence of the glacier is reflected in this photo and you can imagine starting the day with this view.
